The Dog-Fooding Principle
We run ai-kit.net on EmDash. When we needed SEO management, we built a plugin. When we needed AI-powered content generation, we built that too. Every feature in our Auto Blog/SEO plugin is tested on production traffic -- our production traffic.
If a plugin doesn't improve our own search presence and content workflow, it's not ready to sell. That's the bar.
Why EmDash?
EmDash is a CMS built on Astro that runs at the edge on Cloudflare Workers. It's fast, developer-friendly, and designed for the modern web. But it's also new, and it needs a healthy plugin ecosystem.
AIKit is our contribution to that ecosystem. We're building the plugins that EmDash developers need -- starting with SEO and content generation, expanding to email CRM, subscription paywalls, and more.
What We're Building
Our first plugin, Auto Blog/SEO, is available in three tiers:
- Free -- Meta tags, Open Graph, sitemaps, robots.txt, canonical URLs
- Paid ($9/mo) -- AI content generation, scheduling, internal linking, keyword tracking
- Premium ($29/mo) -- Bulk generation, Search Console integration, competitor analysis, structured data
Next on the roadmap: Email CRM for subscriber management and drip campaigns, and a Subscription Paywall for content monetization.
Our Approach
Every plugin uses the EmDash Standard format -- sandboxed and marketplace-compatible. Install with a single command, configure through the admin UI. No code changes to your site required.
For AI features, you bring your own API key. We support OpenRouter, Claude, and OpenAI. Your keys stay on your server. We never proxy or store them.
