Playable ads with an interactive element in the first 2 seconds have 67% higher engagement. Static intros lose 23% of users.

Rule 2: One Action, One Outcome

Single-action playable ads convert 2.8x better than multi-step tutorials. Each extra action reduces completion by 30%.

Rule 3: Visual Feedback Within 200ms

Feedback within 200ms drives 44% higher re-engagement. Delays beyond 500ms feel broken.

Rule 4: Under 2.5MB

47% of users abandon ads loading over 3 seconds. Each 1MB over 2.5MB costs 12% completion.

Rule 5: CTA Within 15 Seconds

Optimal duration: 10-15 seconds. End cards at 15s had 34% higher installs.

Rule 6: Portrait First

Portrait ads achieve 2.1x higher completion. Only 12% of users rotate to landscape.

Rule 7: A/B Test First Interaction

Immediate interaction outperforms tap-to-start by 52% across 12 campaigns.
